Stephen Glover 'The Shape of Things'
Exhibition dates 4th - 15th June 2026
Opening night 6th June 5.30 - 7.30pm
Stephen Glover’s exhibition, The Shape of Things, explores the relationship between geometry and gesture within an abstract, non-objective visual language. Balancing structured forms with expressive mark making, the works investigate the symbolic intersection between reason and emotion, order and spontaneity. Through this interplay, Glover reflects on the shifting and unpredictable nature of contemporary life, creating compositions that feel both considered and deeply intuitive.
Working across monotype, carborundum and aquatint techniques, Glover embraces the material and tactile qualities of printmaking. Subtle elements of collage and collagraph further enrich the surfaces, adding depth and complexity to the works. The resulting prints move fluidly between precision and improvisation, inviting viewers into a dynamic visual space where form, movement and feeling coexist.
