Yellow Infinity
Karen Barnes

Yellow Infinity was created when the wattle was blooming. Walking through the hills, Barnes resonated with D.H. Lawrence’s words, seeing the “feathery yellow of plumes and plumes and plumes,” and too, with Kusama’s infinity - an endless, immersive field where repetition becomes wonder. This body of work is the result of hours spent immersed in both nature and the imagined world, where an unexpected sunflower peering over a fence can take the breath away. Each work is etched into copper, printed, and hand coloured, creating small variable editions.
