Collection: Anella Petrie

Anella Petrie’s prints explore the shifting desire to be seen and unseen at the same time, often bringing these opposing feelings together through juxtaposition. Faces are repeatedly distorted, stretched and fragmented, suggesting that our true identity can be difficult to recognise and is often hidden.

Working with an open mind towards printmaking techniques, Anella reflects on her changing moods, perceptions of the world and fascination with Japanese culture.

Through experimentation with colour, texture and found paper, Anella embraces imperfections, chance and unpredictability within the process. These elements allow each print to develop organically, revealing something more personal, unexpected and unique.
