Artist CV

I trained in printmaking at the South Australian School of Art (BA Fine Arts, 1981-4) and moved to Victoria in the late 1980s. My work is held in many public and private collections in Australia and overseas including the Art Gallery of South Australia, Justin Art House Museum, and the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.

In my current art practice I make fine line linocuts and artist books, predominantly using Japanese papers. I often use more than one sheet of tissue paper, stitching them together with embroidery thread to intensify the colours and layers of fine lines. 

My subject matter is usually the Australian landscape, with focus on the beautifully asymmetrical leaves of the Eucalypt tree, and all the inspiring alterations made to their shapes and lines through the predation of insects. The themes that continue to interest me are: mending / repair, correspondence, loss, memory, and concealment / revelation.
