Melbourne-born artist Robyn Rayner draws deep inspiration from her immediate surroundings—particularly the parklands and nature reserves near Geelong, that she walks through daily. Rayner closely observes the subtle shifts in light, atmosphere, and mood that occur in these familiar landscapes.

Her work reflects a deeply personal response to place, capturing fleeting moments and evolving impressions through intuitive mark-making. Working primarily in etching and drypoint, she distills these everyday experiences into images that evoke memory, emotion, and a strong sense of connection to the environment.

Rayner completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at Monash University in 1998. Her work, known for its sensitivity and quiet observation, is held in numerous private and corporate collections.
