Silvi Glattauer is a Melbourne-based photomedia artist whose practice blends photography with printmaking traditions to explore themes of nature, memory, and environmental consciousness.

A founding member of The Baldessin Press & Studio, Glattauer is widely regarded as a leading authority on Photopolymer Photogravure, while also working across a range of alternative and historical photographic processes.

Her work is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world and a personal archive of experience. Through methods of collection, classification, and documentation, Glattauer creates images that capture the tactile qualities of time and place. Her practice is distinguished by a handmade aesthetic that evokes materiality, objecthood, and a sense of preciousness.

Glattauer has exhibited extensively in Australia and internationally, with recent showings at the Museum of Victoria and multiple shortlistings for the Bowness Photography Prize. Her accolades include winning the Nillumbik Prize and receiving government commissions in 2014 and 2016 to document bushfire recovery and memorial projects.

She has been selected for prominent artist residencies including Print Residence (Barcelona) and Inkmasters (Cairns). Her work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA), Geelong Gallery, Melbourne Museum, State Library Victoria, Monash Gallery of Art, and the Nillumbik Shire Council.
